When The Beths released their debut album 'Future Me Hates Me' in 2018, everything changed. Formed at the edge of the new millennium, Maserati is as sleek, sexy, and sophisticated as the legendary Italian sports car it takes its name from. It is fitting, then, that the band has dragged the glory years of psychedelic arena rock kicking and screaming into the 21st Century, with the pomposity (and vocals) carefully removed. In its place are white-hot flashes of light pulsing to an unstoppable rhythm that makes us want to punch the air and drive really fast in a car with wings instead of doors.

Kim Gordon calls them "Hot as fuck" and frontwoman Nina Ljeti is called "L.A.'s most electrifying new rocksinger" by the Los Angeles Times. That Kills Birds has the wind in its sails is obvious. The L.A. rock band started as a secret project between singer Nina Ljeti and guitarist Jacob Loeb, but soon it became clear that the chemistry between the two was so strong that they had to start a full-fledged band and step into the spotlight. They did and with success, because the song Volcano on their self-titled debut album was the inspiration for the song Cloudspotter by the Foo Fighters, according to none other than Dave Grohl.

Alex Henry Foster is the frontman of the band Your Favorite Enemies, but has also been doing it under his own name since 2016.
