DANGERS (USA – Topshelf Records)
Dangers is a hardcore punk band from Los Angeles, California. They have been playing basements, garages, living rooms, squats, warehouses, banquet halls, high school auditoriums, Adriatic beach resorts, abandoned Soviet furniture factories, and public park gazebos since the winter of 2005. In their decade of existence, they have booked their own tours across the United States, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and Southeast Asia. After self-releasing two critically-acclaimed LPs and two EPs on their own Vitriol Records, they are now pushing their third LP, The Bend in the Break, out into the world via Topshelf Records. It is an attempt to locate the band within the rapidly changing landscapes of both loud music and our rotten culture-at-large, and finds the band incorporating its roots into a sound and performance more their own than ever.
SWAIN (NL/DE – End Hits Records)
Swain, formerly known as This Routine Is Hell, started out in 2009 with homebase Utrecht in The Netherlands. They have been wrecking stages all over Europe ever since. The band moved the Germany, went off the grid for a while and then returned with a new record on which they take a whole new approach. The Long Dark Blue is now available through End Hits Records.
Hailing from the city of Antwerp, Belgium, DIY hardcore outfit LOTUS are a fairly new incarnation but nonetheless prepared to take European hardcore by the scruff of its neck with a medley of rock solid breakdowns, angst riddled vocals and outrageous riffs. Featuring ex members of Accept The Change and Redding this chaotic four piece are no strangers to the underbelly of hardcore. Think early days of Ceremony!
