Zach Stephenson and Billy Flaming have been friends for longer than they can remember. Their shared love for skating, surfing and rock’n’roll laid out the foundations for Hockey Dad. Their sound is exactly what you’d expect of a band that comes from a small local Australian seafront town with a huge skate and surf culture. Hockey Dad’s latest single “I Missed Out” brings noisy guitar lines, muffled drums and a heavy portion of lo-fi that brings in the Australian sun.
