Kim Gordon calls them “Hot as fuck” and frontwoman Nina Ljeti is called “L.A.’s most electrifying new rocksinger” by the Los Angeles Times. That Kills Birds has the wind in its sails is obvious. The L.A. rock band started as a secret project between singer Nina Ljeti and guitarist Jacob Loeb, but soon it became clear that the chemistry between the two was so strong that they had to start a full-fledged band and step into the spotlight. They did and with success, because the song Volcano on their self-titled debut album was the inspiration for the song Cloudspotter by the Foo Fighters, according to none other than Dave Grohl.
At the end of 2021, the band will release their 2nd LP “Married” via Royal Mountain Records (PUP, METZ, Mac Demarco, US Girlz,…). It was recorded in the legendary Studio 606 in Northridge, California where Nirvana’s Nevermind and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours were also recorded. It can only sound good, right?
