We’ve had melodic hardcore, emotive hardcore and the likes. For Casey, we really need to use the term emotional hardcore band. Not afraid to sound tragic or fragile nor to scream their lungs out. Casey is about purity and reality.
Recorded at rural Wales’ illustrious Monnow Valley Studios and produced by Brad Wood (Placebo, Sunny Day Real Estate, TouchéAmoré), the songs that comprise their new album “Where I Go When I Am Sleeping” are much more expansive, atmospheric and layered than anything Casey have done before. It’s a record that flows from one vividly depicted moment to the next, one memory to another. And while there is still some desperate rage and gutteral screaming in the likes of ‘Wavering’, ‘Phosphenes’ and ‘Flourescents’, much has been replaced by calmer, though no less anxious, soundscapes. It makes for an incredibly cohesive and immersive record.

A few years back these fellas came over to Europe to warm up crowds for Break Even and Landscapes. Now, with a few more releases under their belt, insane support shows for Citizen, Basement, Taking Back Sunday among others in their home country AND a new record out in February, they’re back to present you their renewed sound. Beautiful melodic guitars, tender vocals, searching and expansive sound combined with curious vibes of darkness lurking in the background.

One of the youngest bands singed to Rise Records. Think Knuckle Puck, Trash Boat and Real Friends!

Raw vocals, shivering tunes and heavy chords with some post-rock feels.
